I try out Bet Angel for the first time and take you through my experiences!
After hearing a lot of good things about Bet Angel I have decided to try it out. I am going to be blogging about my experiences with the software and hopefully give you tips…basically you can learn from my mistakes.
What is Bet Angel?
We should probably start with what Bet Angel is. It’s actually quite hard to find a quick answer to that on their website, probably because the tools are probably easier to demonstrate on Youtube videos than they are to explain.
But basically Bet Angel is a piece of software that was built by a guy called Peter Webb who is a self-proclaimed “betting exchange expert”. The software was originally not intended to be a commercial product but help Webb ‘trade’ on Betfair.
From first inspection (I am sure that I will be able to give more detail as I try out all the features) the most powerful feature is offsetting, this is where you place a bet (say back at 1.2) and automatically a second bet is placed at a pre-set level (say lay at 1.21). If the second bet is matched then you make the profit of 0.01. This let’s you make little profits, but it’s so quick you can make lots and lots of these trades. The amount of money you make depends on how much you stake a.k.a. how big your balls are!

Setting Up Bet Angel
The first thing you need to do is set up a Betfair account. If you are reading this and are on our website then chances are you already have one set up, but if not, sign up for one here.
Secondly, you need to download the software package, download the Bet Angel software here. There are a number of membership options ranging between 1 day and 1 year (£4.99 to £149.99), now if you’re like me and want to test it out before committing then there are only two real options:
- Free 1 week trial
- One month trial for half price - £15
I went with the 1 month trial as I was sucked in by the sales pitch that 1 week wouldn’t be long enough to properly test out the software and if you take the week trial then you cannot later go onto take the cheap month trial.
Once you have paid it is a fairly quick and easy process in downloading and installing Bet Angel, so no need to talk about that here.
Placing a Bet
The first ‘bet’ you make on Bet Angel should be whilst ‘practice’ mode is on. This means that you can try out all the features while not actually risking any cash. You will be able to tell when practice mode is on because the top of the screen is all pink rather than blue.
