Fantasy Football Tickers
This section contains an alternative spin on the upcoming fixutre tickers, by illustrating the statistically modelled likelihood for goals scored and clean sheets based on teams' next 10 fixtures.
See below the ticker for instructions on how to use.
How to use
Tickers are generally used in 3 main ways: 1) to help determine starting 11 selections, 2) to help determine captain selections, and 3) to help plan squad player combinations in the 5-10 week term.
To use the tickers can be used to help make the correct statistical decision for starting 11 and captain choices, take the Baines versus RVP captain decision in GW 13 as an oversimplified example purely for illustrative purposes. Baines is 40% likely to get a clean sheet with Everton vs Norwich at home, and Everton are likely to score 2 goals, with Baines being involved in 10% of the Everton goals. This gives Baines expected value of around 3.5, however Man United are likely to score 2.3 goals this week, with RVP involved in c40% of united's goals, giving an expected value of >3.5. So the stats tickers imply RVP will be the better choice.
Over the course of the season, you'll find that using the stats, helps gain an edge over rival players, so long as you can get over the weekly statistical variances that will occur for everyone.
Note - The alternating tickers show the higher of the 2 options listed for a given game week. Click here to see an example explaining this further, however the alternating fixtures are designed to help you select anything from peripheral squad players from mid-table clubs with fixtures that alternate well, to selecting big point scoring players that alternate well so that you can optimise the captain bonus.
All tables are sortable by game week, next 1-5 GWs, next 6-10 GWs, and next total 10 GWs. In addition, colour formatted equivalent tables are available below, with the darkest green shade reflecting the most favourable stats, and the darkest red reflecting the least favourable stats.
